Saving for retirement requires decades of discipline and sacrifice.
That’s why you deserve a service oriented firm to advise you on how to best utilize your savings. Here are some of the factors that set Financial Designs Corporation apart:
A Limited Number of Clients
Many firms use a cookie-cutter approach to financial planning and investing that enables them to serve the greatest number of clients with the least expenditure of time and effort. Financial Designs limits the number of clients we serve in order to provide personalized, customized service.
A Holistic Approach
Too many financial firms seek to sell clients solutions they don’t want or need. At Financial Designs, we don’t even think about which types of investments or insurance might suit you until we delve extensively into your financial situation and your life goals.
Active Investment Management
The past decade, with its two market crashes, has shown just how risky a “set it and forget it” approach to investing can be. And yet, many firms continue to use “passive” investment strategies, in which they create portfolios for clients and don’t make changes for months—or even years. At Financial Designs, we have long been known as true “active” managers: We continually monitor our clients’ portfolios and make adjustments aimed at avoiding undue risk and seizing opportunities.
Fee-Based Compensation
It’s common for so-called financial “advisors” to charge clients sales commissions for each stock, bond, mutual fund, or insurance product they buy. At Financial Designs, we believe that arrangement works against clients’ best interests. For our services, we charge a modest fee (1% of clients’ overall assets annually). This fee-oriented approach means that we don’t have an incentive to steer you to a particular product. Instead, we’re free to recommend what we believe are the best investments for each individual client.
A Highly Qualified Team
Each of our financial planners has earned the respected Certified Financial Planner™ designation. Certified Financial Planners™ must meet a strict set of criteria for education, experience and ethics, and they must pass comprehensive examinations on a broad range of financial planning topics.
A Family Firm
When we say Financial Designs is a family firm, it’s not just a figure of speech: Our top executives are literally related to each other. That’s one reason our clients can count on being served by a cohesive, stable and secure firm.
